The newly redesigned campuspartners.com Web site is up and running thanks to Vicki Vogler, Web Administrator. “Vicki did an extraordinary job and deserves all the credit possible for getting the site ready for publication. She provided the magic that made it all happen,” praises Carolyn Williams, Marketing Manager. For months, Vicki worked closely with the Marketing team to deploy the new Web site. She performed coding, testing and executed the final move to production. The result is a sleek, modern design with sophisticated features that still maintains all the information and resources our customers need.
As Web Administrator, Vicki will continue to support campuspartners.com. She is also responsible for the ongoing support of all the Campus Partners Web applications, monitoring the servers, and implementation of all future Web modifications. The tasks facing Vicki are not at all daunting as her experience enables her to perform at levels that exceed expectation. During her eight years with the company, she has been promoted from Programmer to Sr. Systems Analyst and recently assumed the role of Web Administrator in March of this year.
“Vicki is absolutely one of the key members of the Application Development team. She was a natural fit for the Web Administrator position and makes great contributions in this area every day. Vicki is a pleasure to work with and I am very pleased and fortunate to have her as part of my team,” comments Judy Smith, Director of Application Development.
Vicki says the most challenging aspect of her job is juggling all of her responsibilities as well as the systems, but she says she loves the IT field. “I really like what I do for a living. I like sitting at my desk listening to music while I code a program. It’s like solving a logic puzzle,” says Vicki. Programming is not just an abstract exercise for Vicki. “I like making a difference. I like making someone else’s workday easier,” she said with conviction. She has great admiration for her co-workers in IT and is especially proud to be part of a team who she says bands together to support our systems. She also has special praise for her co-worker, OH Walker. “He’s a technical guru who truly understands computer systems,” Vicki states.
Juggling responsibilities is as much a part of Vicki’s home life as it is at work. She and her partner of 19 years stay extremely busy with their three children. Brady, 10, is an exceptional student who plays soccer and chess. Twins, Riley and Rosie will turn 5 this month and are anxious to start kindergarten in the fall. Add in the family dogs, Chance and Nibbles, and Max, the cat, and this happy brood quickly climbs to eight.
Although her idle moments are sparse, Vicki still finds time to indulge in her own guilty pleasures. Her favorite group of all time is Bon Jovi and she never misses a concert. “I have seen them every time they have been in the state since 1993,” Vicki admits. While she doesn’t watch much television, she is an avid reader and loves the “Harry Potter” anthology by J.K. Rawlings. Vicki secretly confessed to having read each of the books in the compilation numerous times.
Vicki’s strong sense of dedication is evident, whether you look at her successful career path and strong family bonds or even her loyalty as a Bon Jovi and J.K. Rawlings fan. Her work is impeccable and her commitments are profound. Vicki not only juggles her responsibilities, she masters them.
